2019 Marks 100 Years of the Nobel Laureate Doris Lessing
"One of the major fiction writers of the second half of the 20th century and one of the most vividly representative literary figures of our times"
- Lorna Sage on Lessing in The Guardian, 2013
The University of East Anglia (UEA) enjoyed a long association with Lessing, where she held the title of Distinguished Fellow of Literature, and the University's British Archive for Contemporary Writing (BACW) proudly hosts her vast archive of correspondence, diaries and personal papers.
To mark this important milestone, UEA's School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing, in partnership with the BACW, is hosting a major international conference, an exhibition and other public events.
This is the official home of Doris Lessing 100.
